Vanessa Bruno‘s new AW’11 look book comes in the form of this dreamily surreal piece of cinematography which follows an effortlessly ethereal Kate Bosworth as she embarks on a far-reaching adventure across snow capped mountains and expanses of lake.

Filmed in reversed slow motion, the visually evocative lookbook showcases Vanessa Bruno‘s stylish collection which is heavily influenced by her Norwegian heritage. Kate is captured in emerald green velvet flares, metallic brocade frocks and lashings of Nordic fur, all to the rousing sounds of remixed Tchaikovsky.

A wonderfully quirky fashion fairytale.

All the fun of the fair

And the winner of Paris Fashion Week’s most impressive catwalk show goes to…

As the curtain rose on the Louis Vuitton SS’12 show, an enormous slow-turning white carousel was unveiled, complete with 48 gleaming white horses (one for each model), forming a heavenly constellation of prettiness.

The designer behind the magical spectacle was Marc Jacobs, who had booked the biggest carousel in Paris to showcase his sugary sweet collection for Louis Vuitton. Inspired by his whimsical strolls through Paris’s Tuileries Gardens, where a traditional carousel spins every spring, his fairground fantasyland had every member of the front row gasping in awe.

“I wanted something magical, this is what I expected and I loved it,” Jacobs stated after the show. “The carousel was also a metaphor for fashion. The way it goes round and round… and how there is no end to fashion. How it’s a beautiful ride. And there is no end to its beauty.”

Models dismounted their horses one by one wearing sugared almond-coloured princess line dresses full of frothy femininity topped with dainty white headbands, with Kate Moss rounding off the show looking ethereal in a white feathered broderie anglaise dress.

A glittering success!
